Gardner’s Learning Academy and Infant Center is an expansion of the owner’s existing in-home family daycare (Gardner’s Infant and Toddler Childcare in Hawthorne, California). The owner, Darlene Gardner, knew there was a need for more high-quality, educationally enriched childcare facilities in the area. In December 2023, Ms. Gardner found a preschool in Inglewood, California, that was no longer thriving.
Ms. Gardner purchased and renovated the facility inside and out. The center now features a beautifully equipped preschool capable of caring for and teaching 18 preschoolers aged 2 to 6 years. It also includes a whimsically designed Infant Care Center for infants aged 5 weeks to 2 years and a separate, fun-filled Dramatic Play Center. This room features a pretend dental clinic and veterinarian clinic, as well as a pretend supermarket and kitchen.
Ms. Gardner’s philosophy is to “Teach young minds to learn and explore.” This philosophy is displayed throughout the newly designed facility.
